Dr. Nicole Young is a Wisconsin native with more recent roots in Arizona. She completed her B.S. in Biochemistry at Arizona State University and then returned to Wisconsin where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.
Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Young made the trek back to Arizona where she’s been in small animal general practice ever since.
During her academic journey and veterinary career, she has developed a keen interest in veterinary dentistry, recognizing the vital role it plays in the overall well-being and health of animals as well as the importance it plays in the human-animal bond. Committed to advancing her knowledge and skills, Dr. Young is taking the next step in her veterinary career and pursuing specialization in veterinary dentistry.
She has joined the Residency and Training program with the Carefree Dentistry and Oral Surgery team to receive the advanced training required in the journey to becoming a boarded Veterinary Dental Specialist.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Young enjoys running, cooking, crafting and spending time with her fiance, Colin, and her Husky/Border Collie, Ava (A.K.A Princess Black Toe ?).
