Dr. Kurtis Boon

Dr. Kurtis Boon earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He has dedicated his career to the field of small animal veterinary medicine and completed a small animal rotating emergency and specialty internship at VCA West Los Angeles. While the experience was rigorous, he admits that being just minutes from the beach certainly didn’t hurt.

Following his internship, he traversed deeper into the mountains and pursued his dentistry and oral surgery residency at Colorado State University. During his residency, he performed hundreds of advanced maxillofacial and oral surgical procedures on furry companions, while working alongside some of the best veterinary doctors in the country.

Dr. Boon has a deep passion for the overall health and welfare of his patients. He believes exceptional veterinary care begins with clear communication and strives to ensure pet owners feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout every stage of diagnosis, treatment planning, and recovery.

An Arizona native, Dr. Boon is excited to return home and join Carefree Dentistry and Oral Surgery for Animals. He looks forward to serving pets and their families throughout the Phoenix area while building lasting relationships with local veterinarians. Although he and his wife do not currently have pets of their own, they are excited to begin growing their fur family in the near future.
