Dr. Martin Kennedy

We are excited to welcome Dr. Martin Kennedy to the Carefree Dentistry & Oral Surgery for Animals team! Dr. Kennedy is a Board-Certified Veterinary Anesthesiologist™. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and also earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Kennedy completed a rotating internship at the University of Minnesota after veterinary school, then a residency in Anesthesia & Pain Management at the University of Wisconsin.

Then, Dr. Kennedy joined a fast-paced, multi-specialty referral practice in Cincinnati, where he directed the anesthesia service until December 2019. He then became an associate professor of anesthesia and pain management at the University of Minnesota before joining Carefree Dentistry & Oral Surgery for Animals. He is interested in managing high-risk patients, multimodal pain control, teaching about anesthesia, and total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA).
