Introduction to Veterinary Dentistry and Radiology (Level 1)

It was very informative and had a good review of dental anatomy, radiology and thorough oral exam. Enjoyed the open discussion during lectures. Being able to practice radiographs was very helpful and I now feel confident in my abilities to troubleshoot during dental radiographs during a COHAT.

I attended this course/wet lab with one of my assistants and it was fantastic. As a DVM, I don't usually have to take dental rads (sometimes I help...by pushing the button) because I have such talented technicians and I absolutely could not do my job without them! So this course not only was a great refresher for me, but also an excellent introduction for our new (and very motivated) tech assistant. Everyone at Carefree Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery are friendly and so welcoming! There was a schedule of lectures and lab rotations (so much info to pack into 8 hours!), but overall, the setting was casual, comfortable and, best of all, fun! I absolutely recommend this course to both DVMs and techs/tech assistants (even better if it's a tech/assistant and DVM team). Take advantage of this small group setting to sharpen up (or get familiar with!) vet dentistry knowledge and skills with the experts!

Very good course, wish I could be there for day 2. Picked up some new tips for cleaning teeth (I used to be a tech). Loved how hands on we got to be taking the radiographs which is going to be new at our practice. Personally as a new grad, (my state license application is submitted), I feel I also need more help with complicated extractions especially lower canines, drilling, blocks, flaps, etc. But that’s your day 2 course. I think what you are doing, you are doing well and it’s worth the cost, for me I couldn’t afford the cost of both the courses. I hope to be back in the future! Thank you for having me.
