Dr. Magnolia Jucan
Dr. Jucan graduated from Dr. Petru Groza Agricultural Institute in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1997. She immigrated to Canada in 2001 where she worked as a veterinary technician until she got her North American accreditation. She moved to Phoenix in 2006 where she worked in general practice for more than 12 years with Banfield the Pet Hospital. She served as a lead doctor and Chief of Staff for several years while in Banfield employment.
Her interest and desire to learn more in the field of veterinary dentistry proved her a fitting candidate for the Residency and Training program with Arizona Veterinary Dental Specialists in May 2019. She was mentored in her journey by Drs. Kipp Wingo, then Curt Cofman and Lisa Fink. She completed her residency in May 2022. As a credentialed residency-trained veterinarian she continues to develop her skills in preparation for the AVDC board examination in 2023.
Dr. Jucan and her husband Alex have been married for 25 years and have 2 boys. The oldest, Alex, serves in the Marine Corps, and the youngest, Adrian, is in Junior High. Their 4-legged family member is a 7-year-old miniature English Bullterrier, Skye. Dr. Jucan loves to travel, read, cook and bake. She is also practicing Aikido, a Japanese style of martial arts, and has an active lifestyle. Dr. Jucan is bringing with her the experience acquired in general practice and her contagious enthusiasm for dentistry.
