Course description

This is a 2-day CE Course for the AZ Pet Vet DVMs to learn valuable canine and feline veterinary dentistry techniques.

Dates:
May 17th – Canine
May 18th – Feline
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

I think we can all agree that canine & feline dentistry can be a very challenging area of veterinary practice. This course aims to assist veterinarians in becoming more adept at dental care for cats & dogs.

The syllabus for these courses places emphasis on areas such as the anatomical structures involved, the common oral pathologies, the techniques of regional anesthesia, and a methodical process for performing extractions along with handling potential complications. The participants will be provided with ample lab time to practice on cadaver specimens. Each participant will be provided with brand-new, sharp extraction tools specifically made for dog & cat dentistry. A set of essential canine & feline extraction instruments will be provided as a take-home gift. Participants who own magnification equipment are encouraged to bring it along for the course. For those who do not, loupe-fitting will be available before the wet lab section.

With two tutors and several assistants on board, participants are assured of comprehensive guidance and attention.

Benefits:

  • Improve your oral surgery skills and learn how to design a mucogingival flap, section a multi-rooted tooth, remove alveolar bone, use dental luxators, perform alveoloplasty and achieve tension-free closure
  • Improve your confidence level when diagnosing canine & feline dental pathology and recommending the best treatment plan for your patients
  • Increase your comfort level when performing canine & feline extractions
  • Have fun and take home a valuable instrument kit!

** This class is only available to AZ Pet Vet Veterinarians – Please refer to other dates to register. **
